Legal Assistance (Western Region)
In order to bring about broad and lasting changes in law and policy, MALDEF's legal work focuses exclusively on impact litigation. These are cases that have a large impact on the community. Accordingly, we do not take individual cases such as:
- Direct Immigration Services (filling out and filing documents) and/or adjusting immigration status and deportation cases;
- Wrongful termination of employment;
- Housing Issues;
- Family Law Cases; and
- Criminal cases.
If your case falls under one of these categories, we recommend you consult our list of community organizations that provide legal assistance in the Western Region, including California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, Washington State, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Hawaii. Please fill out the contact form ONLY if you have a legal problem within our five programs: Education, Employment, Immigrants’ Rights, Voting Rights and Language Rights. Please note that your submission WILL NOT establish an attorney-client relationship. Additionally, you should not include any confidential information on this form.
