You will be directed to an operator at the Capitol switchboard. Ask to be connected to your U.S. Senator's office. A legislative assistant will answer the phone.

Ask the Senate staffer if your Senator plans on voting for the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which may come up for a vote as early as Wednesday.
